Visits by a member of the Royal Family

If your organisation is holding a special anniversary, you have just completed a new building, or perhaps you feel what you are doing is something special for the community – or perhaps you just have a special event coming up. If you do you can request a visit from a member of the Royal Family to celebrate the occasion.

Royal visit requests would normally be channelled through the Lord Lieutenant and his office click here

Different Royal households are prepared to take bids for a Royal Visit at different times of the year – some have a rolling programme others have fixed periods within which requests can be made.  If you need advice or assistance with a possible visit from a member of the Royal family please contact the PA to the Lord Lieutenant at eastsussexlieutenancy@brighton-hove.gov.uk

Information on forthcoming Royal Visits can be obtained from the British Monarchy website. Please click here

HRH The Duke of Edinburgh10 June 1921 - 9 April 2021

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness was born on 10th June 1921 and since their marriage in November 1947 He has been a constant support and companion to Her Majesty The Queen and has touched the hearts of all in East Sussex. His commitment to our Queen and our nation has been total and I am sure you will join with me in sending our sincere condolences to Her Majesty and the whole Royal family on His passing.
