Week ending 8th December
Last week, amongst other engagements the Lord Lieutenant attended the following:
On Sunday the 1st December he attended the St John Carol Service at St Mary the Virgin Church in Ringmer and afterwards joined members of the Order for refreshments in the Village Hall.
On Monday 2nd December he attended the 10 year celebrations of the University of Brighton in Hastings and officially opened their new £7.5m Priory Square building,
On Tuesday 3rd December he attended a national briefing for the Reserve Forces and Cadet Association of which he is a Vice President.
On Wednesday 4th December he attended a performance of ‘The Nativity’, a mediaeval mystery play performed by members of the Parish Church of St Peter and St John, Wivelsfield.
On Thursday 5th December, following a Royal Visit to the Emmaus Community in Hastings by the Duchess of Cornwall (Royal Patron), he attended, as Chairman of the Judges, the Sussex Business Awards Dinner at the Museum and Corn Exchange Brighton.
On Friday 6th December he attended at Slaugham Manor to award Long Service and Good Conduct Medals to member of Sussex Police Force on behalf of Her Majesty.
On Saturday 7th December he attended the 75th Anniversary of the consecration of St St George’s Catholic Church in Polegate and afterwards took refreshments with visitors and the congregation
On Sunday 8th December he attended a concert by the Ashdown Singers in aid of Lewes Homelink (Patron) at the Church of St Thomas More in Seaford and afterwards he joined the Choir and audience for refreshments.
