East Sussex
East Sussex, is a diverse County which includes the city of Brighton & Hove, the Districts of Lewes, Wealden and Rother, and the Borough towns of Hastings and Eastbourne.
Brighton & Hove
The city of Brighton & Hove is a unitary authority with an overall population of approx. 275,000 people.

The Lieutenancy office is here to help. It provides individuals and organisations with information on all aspects of “Royal” activity in the County as well as the ways in which the Lord-Lieutenant can help to get recognition and support for those groups and individuals who are at the heart of our community life.
Armed Service Links
The Lord-Lieutenant maintains close links to the services although there are no active regular units in East Sussex. He is a vice-president of the South Eastern Reserves and Cadet Association (SERFCA) and is joint president of the sea, army and air cadets across East and West Sussex.
